US Secretary of State Marco Rubio affirmed Washington's openness to the diplomatic option and negotiations with Iran, considering that Tehran is now in a "major dilemma" and stressing the need for it to adhere to the agreement and open the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation.
Regarding the Syrian file, Rubio said that the Syrian authorities do not like Hezbollah, noting that Washington encouraged them to focus on addressing internal crises and securing its borders with Lebanon to prevent the transfer of weapons to the party.
He added that the United States will continue its efforts to preserve freedom of navigation and global trade, stressing Washington's rejection of Iran possessing a nuclear weapon.
